Creative Outlets

I miss making art for myself. I absolutely love what I do, but making things for yourself vs a client is a completely different fulfillment. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a smile on a client’s face when I deliver the final product. However, doing art for myself is the most relaxing and rejuvenating outlet I could give myself. There is no pressure if I am misinterpreting the ask or under-delivering. If I want to spend 40 hours on a painting and start over for no reason, I absolutely can. If I want to abandon it and come back to it in a few months, that’s okay too. It’s so important to make sure you still give yourself the time to do what you want to do and what makes you happy. So I just finished a piece based on one of my favorite movies and book: Howl’s Moving Castle.
